Dyno: SMSP vs Mugen

Mods: TWM 52mm ITB/motorcycle sock filters/AEM EMS tuned by myself
The rest of the engine mods are Jun cams/SMSP header/SMSP exhaust with Sard muffler/UR pulleys
Head and bottem end is USDM stock w/ 10.1 compression
Our local Dynanometer reads about 10% less than Dynojets, as bone stock Preludes are averaging only 140whp on this dyno (vs 154whp on dynojet).
If you want to translate my numbers to dynojet figures, multiply 206 by 1.1 would be fairly accurate. Im also running AEM big brakes and 18" wheels, so numbers could be higher w/ stock brakes and smaller wheels setup.
I was able to do a run just before header swap for a more precise comparison:
196whp represents BLUE line, which I had Mugen header & T1R exhaust. Its a little lower than last time (200whp) due to hotter intake temperature
RED line (206whp) is w/ SMSP header & exhaust.

SMSP 206.3whp@~7700, with over 200whp on tap from 6800 to 8700
Jun cams with SMSP is such a killer comboMugen 196.3whp@~7100, power started to fall off after 7400.

At 8000 there's a difference of 16whp(205 vs 189). The gains would be 25whp if I revved to 8300 with Mugen setup. Now if I extend the Mugen curve out to 8700, the difference would be a whopping 35whp (200 vs 165)!!

SMSP 163tq @~6000
Mugen 157tq @~6000

very nice cant wait till i start my build up with jun cams because i already have the smsp header also but quick question how do you clean your smsp header becasue mine changed colors and got all ugly just wondering but yeah nice numbers
I bought My SMSP headers couple of weeks ago. I can't wait. I personally like my Skunk 2 cams shafts. From what you have I should be seeing higher numbers than you. Other than that man great numbers. Good tuning.....

I have retuned after installing the SMSP.
I'm just an amateur aem ems user, there's still room for further improvement.

Im really impressed with SMSP, it clearly outflows Mugen (the best production header) from VTEC onwards. You can feel really the huge improvement in high end power with every upshift.
how do you keep the header to be so clean cuz for some reason mine got all nasty looking any suggestion thanks cuz i want to polish mine to a color like yours but dont know how to do it or if i can do it thanks
Did you clean your header prior to first start up? I used brake cleaner to remove finger prints stains.

The best thing to do is to re-polish it or get it coated.

You do realize that he has a HELL OF ALOT MORE than just that header, right?

And I hope you're right, and I'm not downplaying the header. It's a beautiful header and I wish I had one, would work great with my setup. Just don't want people buying it thinking they'll get exactly these results with just the SMSP, a few simple bolt ons, and a VAFC.
