Default Hawk Pads help?

Hey, I went out today and bought a set of brake pads that i was told were tracked once (Hawk HP+).

I got home and i see that I was given 2 pairs of front brake pads, 1 pair more worn than the others.

The size part is correct, they are the same size as my itr.

my question is, how do I know if they're actually Hawk HP+ or HPS or if they just some shitty crap?

If the dust like mad, brake very hard, and wail when you get on the brakes then you have hp+.

there are many people who will wear out a set of pads at one track outing, so I caution people against buying used pads in the first place, you can end up getting just the metal backing plates in some cases . Slap them on and see if they work . You get what you pay for.

Buying used pads is like buying used condoms. You might know trust where they came from, but do you really want to take a chance when new ones are so cheap? Okay, well maybe it's not EXACTLY like buying used condoms... haha.

I was about to say you could just look on the box because hawk racing and street pads come in different boxes atleast ones I've seen. But some folks will go through brake pads fast on the track depending on type of person driving. Some guys I know burn up pads like they where on sale whiles others like me and few other drivers I know go whole season or half of one on a set. I myself used my brakes more in the last track event on the first day so I would have my tyres still good on the second day runnings.

As for your friends pads one be wore more then another that can happen if there not installed just right or on that one pad he got a stone or debris that got stuck between the pad and disc which caused more wear. This happen to Rx-7 at the track when he got stone wedge in there.
