Default ugly 98 coupe - help clean it up

k, i have a 98 dx..and i dont understand how its so ugly..haha. give me some tips i can do to make this thing look a little nicer. im on a budget, and most of my moneys being saved for performance, but i wont mind spending a little on the car...so i need cheap ideas.
some things i want to do...but not sure how to go about it:
-getting white moldings, mirrors, and the black piece that the license plate sits on
should i try and find some used ex parts for this?, or would it be pretty cheap to just get mine painted?..also i saw a guy who used spray paint for these parts...is this too cheap?- i dont want paint chipping off.
-a nicer looking front bumper...but i dont know which ones will fit, or what car came with the bumper with the two little cut outs on the sides
-also, id like to get a mesh grill instead of the honda emblem etc.
-those rims are the ugliest ive seen...but rims+tires would clear out my savings

i dont know what the previous owner did to this side of the car...but it has a number of dents that need to eventually be fixed.

enough said..any help or ideas??
thanks in advance.

Well this is better than i thought...

When i first opened the page i thought i was gonna see a car with some huge wing and obnoxious body kit....your ideas seem great bro on painting the moldings, mirrors, and other black pieces...and the wheels on there arent the greatest, but i think it would look fine just slammed, maybe get yourself a set of 99/00 Civic red/clear taillights, and i would leave the stock bumper and throw on a nice front lip

haha yeah...no body kit...do you know how i should go about getting the black parts to be white?...and do you have a picture/link of 99/00 civic tailights?...oh, and my bumper has a pretty big crack in it...and i would really like to have a front bumper like this:

what is this off of?...a 99-00 civic?, if so...is it possible to swap this in to my 98?

basically i would love for my car to look like this (minus the rims):

except for maybe a mesh grill on the bottom as well as the top...and i want to somehow mount my license plate to the side instead of the middle

keep the ideas/help coming guys
thanks

frist get rid of the wheels those are some ugly wheels sell it..!!! Next get at least the stock wheels like 99-00 Si or GEESER wheels. Step two paint the door handles the side moldings buy the rear Licence holder garnish and it come painted for the ex model. Then I think, it would look alot better if the side skit was paint but that is up to you you. This will turn your exterior to be a 98 EX look alike

Yep.

I'd say slam it, pick up some used rotas, and a front lip. Cheapest way to make it look bareable

If i was you id invest in a 99-00 front end. It would make the car look 10x cleaner.

damn a tefetta white ek coupe has so much potential. just get a front lip (si or mugen) don't even have to color match. definately drop that thing a get you some sort of nice wheels. if all else go with some bronze rota sub-zero's or fully polished slips would look hella sweet. both pretty cheap! good luck post pics if u make progress!

well there's a similar style grill that came with like 3 grill bars with the silver honda emblem. i've been looking for a single bar grill like the one u have that's already color matched to my car (stock honda white) i can trade you for my stock grill that's crome and toss in a couple bucks since your planning on going the ctr grill route.

You said you're on a budget and want to work on the motor, why would you waste your money on the 99-00 front end??
