saw a few and the hoods weren't CF? are these hoods just fiberglass hoods painted black or what?

 

painted black - they wish they had carbon fiber.

usually domestic guys rock RAM-Air hoods (functional ones)

 

When I went to a Mustang show with my friend, most of the stangs and Camaros there had fiberglass hoods with pretty large functional hood scoops. I didn't see any carbon fiber among any of them....either stock or fiberglass.

 

flat black hoods were used during early nascar and drag days to prevent sun glare.
