Ok i might be buying an EF hatch in the next month. The one i have my eyes on is pretty nice and seems to be in sound condition. I do have one concern. The car has a JDM cluster...since the cluster is in kilometers..would it still pass a U.S. state inspection???

Im in MD...im just being worried because if the car doesnt pass i cant get it....also do you know if a battery in the trunk will pass??If not how can i get it in the engine bay because there is no room....

thats another thing i've never heard of problems with as long as its not halfassed to point of being easy to spot danger.

Either order a kit for it or if you want get a small battery I forget who makes then and some sportbikes and I think Harleys batterys work too frees up some room.

I'm not in MD so i'm not sure 100% but from what I know you'd be ok here in PA bump for MD to see

 

i work in a garage here in MD... i dont know whether the cluster would pass, an easy fix is to go to a local junkyard and pick up any EF cluster for cheap, swap it out for the inspection and then put ur JDM cluster back in afterwards. as for the battery thats a good question as well. but as acesnyper said if its done correctly it should pass
