Quaife LSD needs a good home. Don't want any hackers claiming they can do the work, then using my car as their ginuea pig. Any recommendations to independent shops or even Honda/Acura dealers in the Bay that can/will do this type of work?

I can have the work done here locally. My guy does this all the time.

Hell, he even put a Y1 LSD in my LS case.

He does good work for a decent price.

Yep, local as in San Diego.

I do cams/pistons. Unless you need machine work, then I send it out.

Contact the Rear End Shop up in Santa Rosa. They do excellant work on all vehicles.

Or try looking for a good tranny shop.

The rear end shop is predominantly a (gasp) domestic shop, but they do import goodies as well.

In my domestic "phase" I blew up more than my fair share of u-joints/driveshafts/rear ends... The fastback had a liking for rear u-joints for some strange reason.....

 

I'm not sure either , but I'm sure that the smoke looked pretty good

 

I have an excellent mechanic in Mountain View that will work really cheap and can do ANYTHING really well. He's at a facility that can do it all port polish, gears, LSD you name it. It's behind Dyno Spot Bob's custom car something. Ask for Frank, He can only do it on a Friday or Saturday. Im going down there Friday my self.

 

how much can he install a clutch and flywheel on a 98 gsr for?
