Default HAHA can someone help tranny whining...

My buddy has a b16 swap in his CRX and his tranny has been whining especially in 1st. It also sounds like the throwout bearing is whining badly with the car in nuetral AND OUT OF GEAR with the clutch released, you push the clutch sound is gone. I've been telling him that thing sounds ruff for about 3 weeks and needed some fluid and finally today I checked it for his dumbass because he did'nt know how without a dipstick lol. It had probably less then a qt in it. In my oil pan you could see the pan in the middle but it did'nt have no shavings at all just very lil fluid.

We looked for redline MTF but could'nt find it so we used mobile1 synthectic 10w 30 motor oil. The car was driven 30 miles and now he scaried to drive it anymore because of the whining.

Any thoughts? maybe some better fluid could help him.

He don't want to drive it but i'm thinking the fluid needs some miles to work its way back in. I can only think of the throwout bearing causeing the sound in neutral.

I've heard that gm syncromesh is great even better then redline but will it help?

input shaft bearing and mainshaft bearing, both were ran dry with low fluid level, need replaced now.

Also might have wiped out the roller cage bearings on the gearshafts, nobody ever checks those.......
