Removing main wiring harness !!!help!!!
I have a 1989 STD civic hatch with a jdm d15b swap and Si tranny.
anyways, i am doing a wire tuck to clean out the engine bay while the engine is out. i am interested in pulling out the main wiring harness so i can sort everything out because it is clumped in my bay. i tried searching on how to pull it out but had no luck. if someone could give me a diy or offer some help on how to pull the harness out i would really appreciate it. thanks in advance

i'm guessing that you are talking about the body harness. if not then just disregard this whole post. the best way to do it is just follow the wires from the firewall and diconnect everything inside your engine bay. i think there are three connectors next to your fuse box, your headlights, corner lights, bumper lights, horn, and two connectors next to the top of your drivers side strut. as far as underneath the dash is concerned, well i don't know what all you have to disconnect from under there, (i've done it before but don't remember everything), but basically follow all the wiring and just disconnect where there are connections. hope that helps a little bit. just try to remember where evrything goes when you get done.
disconnect the cable from the vss and remove the intake arm. Once everything is disconnected, use zipties to secure all the branches on the harness. Pull the harness out from the passenger side.
thanks for the suggestions but im still a bit confused on what to do. the Main engine wiring harness goes into the fire wall. now... the thing is... how do i get it out ? are there clips under the dash and do i have to remove the whole dash to take the harness out?
