Default short shock koni?

Does koni make a yellow with smaller shock body? I was planning on slamming with them but I don't want to have to worry about hitting my bumpstops. Or is my concern completely unwarrented?

Yes the sell a shorten bodied Koni Race Yellow, and you could also invest in the some ground conrtrol upper mounts that help with shock travel.

how do these ground control upper mounts help with travel? Do they mount the bumpstops further away?

you should not combine shortened koni yellows with ground control top hats. its too much. just do either/or.

yeah, top hats allow the bumpstop to travel a bit further up. i would only recommend using these also if you are using GC adjustable spring kits. i dont recommend them with regular springs.

the top hats raise the shock mounting points by about 1in

so gorund control upper mounts and top hats are the same thing? Also when you purchase gcs, would you normally use your stock upper mounts with them?

The reason I ask is because a friend of mine has ots konis and gcs on his ek hatch but he is slammed. The ride is very bouncey and he says it is becasue the shock travel has been reduced so much?
