i got this problem with my car where it wont engage into first gear without goin into second first otherwise it will just rev up and whine. it also grinds into third. could this be a clutch or tranny probelm or both and is it worth it to replace the clutch and see how that goes or both the tranny and clutch at once.?

 

Sorry no help in actually diagnosing your problem (although it sounds tranny-related)

If I was you I would replace both no matter what the real problem is. 3rd gear grind won't get any better with time.

 

try adjusting yur clutch mine had trouble going into first b4 all i did was adjust it. If it grinds going into third my guess would be that yur syncs r starting to go. Try adjusting it and see what happens

 

i tried the adusting, nothing i think im jus gonna go ahead and replace the clutch and tranny and get it done with
