Default small amount of front hub/bearing play

I had my car checked out today and the mechanic noticed a small amount of play in my front bearings. Is this normal? the car is a little over a year old with about 17k miles on it. the car is lowered about 1.25" with zeal B2's, but i just put them on about 1k miles ago. It is on both the front left and right wheels. the bearings don't make any weird noise while driving. i just don't want to drive 6 hours down to VIR, then not let me track the car because of a little bearing or hub play.

I just replaced both of my front bearings. I got the bearings for roughly $50 each from Mike K, and I paid to have a local shop press out/in the bearings for me. I was quoted between $20-40 each for the bearings to be pressed in/out, which still seems high but I ultimately went with a shop that had a lot of experience and the right parts. Peace of mind and all that good stuff

ITR#231, how many miles were on your car when you replaced the wheel bearings?

25K, give or take. They started making noise at about 23K, but it took me a while to pin it down (very subtle at first).

It wasn't covered under warranty?

I took my car to the dealership today to have the bearings checked out and it turns out the bearings are fine, but one of the tie rods had some play in it, so they tightened it down and i was outta there with no charge. what a relief i thought i was gonna have to shell out a couple hundred for some new bearings.
