How high can a stock Gsr redline to???
I was thinking about raising my redline and I need to know what's the safest rpm that I can raise my redline to. I was thinking about getting a chip that would raise it to 10000

I wouldn't recommend going much (if any) higher than the stock redline. You won't be gaining any power by spinning it higher, and you'll avoid the risk of floating valves and damaging your motor.

exactly right. couldnt agree more. Why spin it higher if it dont make power up there. Of course saying that. I have a friend who ran his GSR engine to 9-10K daily on stock internals and with ITR cams, valvetrain, and fully ported and polished head. Of course this engine only lasted about 10K doing this b4 it went kaboom!!!! I think 8500 would be fine personally as long as u have cams/headwork to make power up there.
