Honda Generator Experiences: Very few demons.
I've owned several of the inverter Honda Genertors.
Super quiet, and they produce clean power. That is, a very steady frequency to run computers, sat tv ect.
If you have the 3000s or the 2000s you may encounter these problems, with very simple solutions:
Hard starting:
Fouled plug, very common.
Remove and clean the plug. Even though it's a four stroke, the plugs easily foul.
Runs bad or won't start.
If you have white smoke from the exhaust, you have bad gas and thats your problem.
Change the oil all the time in these type generators,, I mean all the time. Chances beyond the few demons I mention,, you'll never see any trouble if ya treat them right.
One is tempted to buy cheaper generators, even those with Honda lawn mower engines,, but nothing tops the genuine Honda built inverter series generators.
