Default Swapped H22A in EK hatch!?....

Hello guys, I'm new to this. This question is to all of the people who has the swap in their EK hatch. I figured some of you guys here have experiences with the swap already. I just want to know how reliable the swap is. The reason why I'm asking this is because I want to do the swap myself. How does the car itself performs in the long run? Because I've heard so many stories of the H22 motor in the EG hatch and torque steer is a pain in the butt. I figured maybe if I get the the LSD with the motor and since the EK's chassis is a little bigger than the EG. It will handle a little better. Any advice or suggestions are welcome. BTW, I'm probably going to have to wait and do the swap next spring. Thanks a lot.

if you do do that swap, say hello to not being able to steer.

Worst thread ever.

I believe the owner had kyb agx's and GC with oem SI sway bars. It handled fine, granted we didn't really push the car as far as cornering.

The car was very quick when he floored it but the amount of torque steer was awful. IMO, once you're pushing 180whp in a light *** car, an LSD is a must.

Best of luck.

i've driven a h22 swapped EG as a mater of fact, dropped on some sprints sports w/ koni agx's, I was talking about steering in lets say an auto-cross sorta way. the front end is too heavy at least thats what i felt from driving it. it was fine when i was driving it regularly but in situations where you have to turn real hard, it was just kinda hard.

its not fair to compare "one" guys car to everyone's... yeah a b-series motor or something lighter would be easier to make handle... but honestly if someones asking this kinda ? do u think he's an autocrosser?... how often do u take autocross type turns?... people like u who say that about the h22 swap is a big part of why i did mine.. ps.. my handles just as well as my other hatch w/ a b16

Yeah I know the EG and EK are different from each other. My cousins' friend has a swapped H22 motor in a EG coupe civic and torque steer was awful.

No one here has a swap H22 motor in their EK?

I know for a fact that the stock oem axles and drive shafts are not going to handle that much power. Because it's not made for that motor. So I was wondering how about 99-00 SI axles and driveshafts in a 99 hatch. I don't want expensive after-market drive shafts and axles yet, because there is no point.

i have an ek w/ that swap i originally used place racings axles.. they were fine for a long time till i added boost.. then they started snapping like twigs.. supposed to hold up to 250whp before they let go... and the torque steer on my ek was never bad at all, just hard to keep the tires from spinning, even w/ 18's on the car

ps i may still have the passenger side which is the one that u cant use a factory axle..
