what size wheels do you have to clear your bbk?
My crx is currently in need for new brakes, and I can definitely go the larger route. I have 16 inch wheels over DA integra rotors/calipers on the front of my car, with the Si stock rear setup.
What big brake kit are you using(what size rotors? what kind of caliper? front vs rear?), and what wheel size are you using. Also, I believe offset plays a part in clearing the larger breaks, so please be specific.

Bigger brakes are overated on 2000lbs cars. Considering you already have DA front brakes I would suggest you upgrade your pad to hawk pads. It will make a world of difference. Considering the pads are like $30 bucks vs a big brake kit that will run anywhere from $500-1000. It might be wise to spend $30 bucks first and go from their.............just a suggestion.
to be honest, i really dont know which knuckles are on the front of the car because i bought it that way. i measured the front rotors against my 89 dx and they were larger either by 1/2 or a whole inch, it was a long time ago.
from swapping over my shocks/springs, i believe they are crx knuckles, but i could be wrong. what kind of differences should i look for to verify what knuckles they are, and how do i know exactly what calipers are on the car. i can only go by the word of the dude who sold me the car, and he seemed to be a bit of an idiot to me.

I have a set of DA knuckles out back, just went and looked, they have kl-14 and kl-15 marked on them, check the numbers on yours. I don't think that DA rotors/ calipers will fit on stock DX knuckles only on the DA or 4g4d EX knuckles. If you want to go a little bigger, without a lot of $ involved, you can go with 11" prelude vtec rotors and accord wagon/legend/vigor calipers. Theres been write up's on it here.

You need the knuckles from the 88-91 Honda Civic EX. These came with 10" rotors stock, instead of the rest of our 9" brakes. This is what I did:
1. Find EX knuckles from a junk yard using http://www.car-part.com used parts search engine. Got mine for $150 a pair. Cleaned the rust off them, sanded and re-painted them.
2. Using these knuckles you can use any brakes you want from integras. I'm using the 11.75" fastbrakes kit for the ITR with the Wilwood calipers.
3. These fit under 15" GSR/LS mesh style wheels. I'm using a 5mm spacer, but I'm not really sure I need it.
4. Using these knuckles all kinds of rotors and calipers fit, including the dual piston Legend GS calipers (bigger and cheaper than NSX calipers and cheap at Autozone).

I know everybody says this, but I've gone both routes and find the huge rotors and 4 piston calipers just feel awesome. They have some serious bite, and I have FULL confidence in my brakes. Yes, if you're just doing some autocrossing or heated driving a nice set of pads and some good brake fluid is all you need to keep from getting excessive fade. However, if you want some brakes that look and feel awesome get a BBK. And you can find them cheap sometimes, I got mine for $400 used. Caliper was shaved a little due to an idiot doing the previous installation and shaving the caliper to make it fit when he had the bracket on backwards. Turned a $1000 kit into a $400 kit which I spent some time getting it to fit the way I wanted and re-painted (flat black).
I only bought this kit because I came across it cheap. Otherwise my original plan was to use the 2-piston Legend rotors with some nice 11" rotors.
Here are some pics.

I'm not worried about looks man. I"m a weight ***** so I don't like excessive parts on cars that don't need them. Especially a street car, but seems like everyone wants to build a monster and not even use it.
hmm... I missed the not use it part... need to reply to that... coming off a banked straightaway and immediately start braking from 112(governed) before entering a sweeping left. The Texas World Speedway Infield Road Course turn one at thedriversedge event is some scary s**t. And any one upgrading their car should get into events such as these.
I was running nice racing pads with good fluid and I cooked my Master Cylinder that weekend. I don't think I'm going overboard.
And again they are a lot lighter than stock.

You track your car so it doesn't apply to you. Nevermind nice brake upgrade. How much of weight savings are we talking here. I'm looking into getting these very soon for my SM civic to get the weight down.

I guess I could get the trusty old bathroom scale out. I was previously running gsr brakes before these, so I can compare the two.
