Default I was thinking about this as a project...

Looking in the bargain news and I see this.

2000 ACURA INTEGRA TYPE R
5 spd, clean title, theft recovery, missing interior, engine & transmission, 43K miles, $2900. (516) 369-2261 . Riverhead

I thought theft recovery has to have a salvage title?

it would have a "clean title" if he didnt claim the theft to his insurance company.. u'll prob want to check carfax just to verify..

yep check carfax... but a salvage title will increase insurance rates even more than a clean title...

It will be clean as long as the car hasnt been wrecked. I just went threw this with my bike. it was stolen, and it was goin to be a clean title untill they found out the dude wrecked it.

well if it was theft like that where engine and tranny gone then it should be salvage. which means he didnt report it. now, how can someone recover their own car without the help of police, i wonder....
