Default 13x7.5 with Kumho Escta 700 first impressions

At this last Sunday SFR autocross event I tried my new 13x7.5 Lenso rims wrapped in Kumho Escta V700 235/45 rubber. All I can say is my car is now a monster! The first thing I noticed is that I can now turn and accelerate hard with all the new grip I have. The 13" rims have greatly improved acceleration and I can get into the higher rpm's in no time.

I now know why people say once you try R compound it's hard to go back.

I'm glad I switched to 13" rims because there is no way I could have been competitive on 15".

Hmmm... maybe I'll get a light weight flywheel next...

From what I remember, Geratol did in fact buy the Lenso drag wheels.

These are the Lenso Drag wheels and they just barely clear the calipers. So far they seem to be holding up fine to the lateral pressures of autocrossing.

That's the tire I'll be running this year! Only a little narrower - 205 and 225's. Stinkin' spec miata class took all the 205s. Dang, 235x13s, that's a wide tire.

Looking forward to running these tires too. Did you have experience with the Victoracers?

4 Ecsta V700= ~$450 shipped
Mount and balance= $60

Total= $1030 (ugh... I wish I hadn't totaled it all up)
