Default High idle while rolling out of gear...

help! i have never run into this problem before. i just installed a jdm obdII b18c w/jdm obdII ecu into my 97 hatch, i've been doing this a while so i know how to do all the wiring and stuff, triple checked everything. the problem is when i drive it and disengage the clutch to shift, the idle jumps way up and stays there steady until i come to a stop. the thing idles fine other wise and runs smooth. i can't figure this out, i know it's not the ecu because i tried swapping another and does the same thing. cleaned iacv, even though i know that it works because when i am idling and turn the a/c on it corrects the idle perfectly. any ideas will help. oh yeah, i'm not getting any cel or existing codes and i tested the cel and it works, so i don't know.

OBDII doesn't have FITV.

i checked it out last night. this is weird, i put a different iacv on last night and it still wouldn't idle up when i first start it cold. also, it didn't want to idle as high when i was rolling, only about 2000 rpm. i disconnected the iac and drove it, then it just wanted to die when idling, it didn't idle up while rolling either. also, i disconnected the iab and the idle dropped really low, then connected it back up and couldn't get the idle back up, even when i reset the ecu. it also was fluctuating slightly, and i wasn't able to increase the idle even with the idle screw. wtf is going on here?!

make sure your throttle cable isn't getting pinched somewhere or anything like that...

hmmm, that wouldn't affect the iacv would it?

yeah, i know HOW to adust the idle, but it's not working, as my idle jumps up to about 3000 rpm when i depress my clutch and doesn't come down till i come to a stop.

i think i just fingered it out, yeah viva viva viva. i think i have a bad VSS. i unplugged it yesterday and the problem completely went away, and the VSS doesn't throw codes if it's unplugged, so if it's bad it prolly wouldn't throw code. i'm going to put the VSS from my old tranny in today. hopefully that's it. i still don't know why my idle isn't adjusting right. maybe i SHOULD take my FITV off and screw the ring in.

We have shot the wires to make sure they all are in good working order, cleaned the IACV, swapped the IACV, swapped the VSS, did this and that and still no luck. Im not new to Hondas either and Josh and I cant find this damn problem. We sprayed carb cleaner around the intake and other parts to search for vacuum leaks, adjusted the throttle cable, you name it we have done it pretty much. The only thing we havent done yet is take the whole intake mani off the car and reassemble it haha.

I dont know what else to do all I know is that we disconnected the VSS and he drove it and the car didnt have the rolling idle problem although vtec nor the odometer worked. We have swapped ecu's like stated before you name it and we done it other than taking the throttle body off the car or the intake manifold. It doesnt throw any CEL's either and that isnt helping us any at all. What the hell can it be?

Default Get the mustang

I am still going to have tell you that after all of your trouble, you would still have no problem just getting a FORD 5.0 litre, and dropping you some pop up pistons in that son-bitch, and just kick this snot out of your little honda. That's all I need. A 5.0 and some pop-ups, and your *** is in the mirror buddy.

LOSER!

i had a mini-me previously with a obdII p2p ecu. it worked fine with the sohc. so i tried that ecu with the b18c and i still had the idle problem, exactly the same. i have seriously run out of ideas at this point.
