You couldn't find it because nobody cares about 1/8 mile times. Acceleration figures are usually reported as 1/4 mile times, and also 0-60 times.

that's pretty ignorant...considering a lot of classes only run an 1/8 mile, and a LOT of tracks are just 1/8 mile tracks.....what do you tell those ppl..run up, turn around and run back?

First of all, you aren't even talking about tracks. You are talking about dragstrips. If you want to take your car to the dragstrip, that's fine - just call it what it is, and don't be a poser by calling it by another name in order to make people think that you're doing something that you're not doing at all.

Also, every dragstrip I know is a 1/4 mile strip. There may be a few 1/8 mile strips, but not many. Your claim that a lot of dragstrips (not tracks) are 1/8 mile is just plain baloney.

I've been doing car stuff for many years, and I don't know anyone who talks about 1/8 mile times. ANYONE. You can keep ignoring that all you want, but that's still the simple truth.

1. there are 2 1/4 strips in NC...the rest, around 20, are all 1/8. same can be said with most of the east coast

2. i'll call it a track if i feel like it, stop trying to be some punk elist. LOTS of ppl call the strip the track. a lot of other ppl call them raceway parks. either way, it's correct.

3. if you've been doing car stuff so long....and have never herad mention of 1/8 mile tracks..you're a f'ing tard. there are a LOT of BIIIIIG races that are 1/8. a lot of the Big Dog races are 1/8 mile, Civil war is too.

Nice language. You sound like you're about sixteen years old and you dropped out of school in the eighth grade. About what you'd expect from a young kid who brags to people that he "went to the track" to make them think he was doing something other than going to the dragstrip...

if you say track in NC...90% of ppl will instantly think dragstrip, PERIOD.

and, so you know...i'm 23 and out of college allready...i just get frustrated with punks like you that like to nit pick things because they have no real point to make and are just upping their post count. That and the fact that you're obvioulsy wrong about there being 1/8 tracks and choose to ignore that fact.

Oh my, I was off by seven whole years.

I guess you learned that kind of language in college, huh? Could have fooled me.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by rhd &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">choose to ignore that fact.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Well, YOU'RE the one who's ignoring facts. For example, here is A FACT:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by nsxtasy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I don't know anyone who talks about 1/8 mile times. ANYONE. You can keep ignoring that all you want, but that's still the simple truth.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Don't believe it? I'll tell you what. There are lots and lots of articles about the NSX that have been written in magazines. They give all kinds of performance measurements in them. Sometimes, they refer to these in the text of the article. When they do, they ALWAYS refer to either 1/4 mile times or 0-60 times, and NEVER to 1/8 mile times.

Here's your big chance to stop ignoring this FACT by proving that this statement is wrong. Find a magazine article about the NSX that refers to 1/8 mile times in the text of the article. Just one. We're all waiting... and if you can't give us a reference to even a single one, we will all know exactly who is simply ignoring the facts.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by rhd &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so the fact that mag's rate stuff in 1/4 increments...that makes the existance of 1/8 tracks useless?</TD></TR></TABLE>

No, it just makes my original statement correct. Thanks for admitting it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by rhd &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i'm just saying your a fool.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Gee, I just got called a fool by a 23-year-old kid who uses foul language and tries to impress people by claiming that he's "going to the track". I'm soooo hurt...

Funny, I was thinking the EXACT same thing about your posts... but at least you've upped your post count, which seems to be your only objective here! (Too bad they don't keep an obscenity count, huh?)

I did make a point, that virtually nobody cares or writes about 1/8 mile times. Thanks for acknowledging that it's true!

man, i've never heard of 1/8 times.....1/4, 0-60, 0-100, 0-60-0, never 1/8 and MUCH less 1/8 tracks...unless your racing on the streets block to block, in which case is pretty dumb
