Default JDM SRS wheel: need advice/help

Ok here is the situation, I have a JDM SRS wheel, got it from ebay, the seller was confused, and listed it as a DC2 wheel, turned out to be an EK9 wheel.

The difference is the notch on the back, its virtical instead of horizontal. Now I told him about it, he understood, said he was lied to by supplier and would pay for return shipp and refund, but he also said if I can modify anything he would pay for any part and labor because he doesnt have any dc2 wheels.

so my questions is, should i have a machine shop make a horizontal notch? has anyone tried it? is that the only difference? how hard could it be?

if it were off, would it make the wheel wobble?

or is it easier to get a new hub from a civic, and how hard would that be? would i lose out on the turning radius on my 1995 integra with civic rack?

i need ideas.......................thanks...
