whp to break into 12s
theres so many factors that would influence that its not possible to tell you it depends on everything
ie
your driving abality
what tranny you use
what motor you get whether it be a built b series a or a mild h or k series engine
how you make the power whether it be nitrous turbo or all motor
what size slicks
what axels you have
what size wheels
what size tires
how many ft you are above sea level
what temperature
the whether
it virtually impossible to tell you what you will run with x amount of whp why do you think theese type of posts always get locked its because they are a waste of space
also im not trying to be an ******* im just lettin ya know how hard it is to guess 1/4 mile time

For a E.K to run high 12's at 2700lbs your going to need to run about 210whp in a 1.8L or more and I'm guessing 205whp or so in a h22. because from experence ive hit hi 12's in my old eg hatch with 205whp and right know im hitting low 12's high 11's with my 220whp h22 crx.........
In the recent honda tuning mag theres that white teg...sleeved gsr, 2.0L 220hp, 137tq, itr tranny, 70mm tb all the good stuff...The magazine said he runs 13.6.....@104mph.... For some reason that seems really "corrected" shall we say...but there ya go. Slicks are a must.

I say 200+whp to get into high 12s

B20 in my 92 hatch, 975kg = 13.5 @ 104mph. 197 whp.
My buddy has similar set up but tuned better and lighter hatch with slicks, and power @ 216whp. He ran 13.2 on his first run so high to mid 12's is possible.

^Your car doesn't even weigh 2000lbs man. Where talking about 2700lbs car here. I think your going to need a good amount a torque to get you off the line. Your probably going to need 220whp but that is and estimate. I would suggest an H22 but its like a toss up with those motors either they are fast or not. I'm still trying to figure that out. Oh yeah, you have a chunky EK man.
