My car went from slow, to slower... WTF?
So my best time at the track is 9.63 @ 74.6... and last night I go to the valley and run a ******* 9.88 @ 72.2 as my best.
Here's why i'm pissed:
(in addition to i/h/e and clutch)
-just installed Crower Stage 1 cams
-just had 5 angle valve job, gasket match p&p, .015" head shim
-not to mention, my buttdyno is reading a lot better pull at higher rpms but less torque before 4k rpms
Some potential explanations:
-Bad head work (but the guy is extremely credible and knows his stuff, Dan Nelson)
-Need to tune cams
-Crappy exhaust that is cut off after the resonator (getting a new one this weekend)
-High humidity... could this affect my times that much
Can anyone diagnose what the proplem could be or have any other suggestions. All help is greatly appreciated!

No I have not tuned it with the new parts in, but have heard that it would not do much for me with a cam that is not very aggressive.
I am thinking along the same lines as you all and agree i should have it tuned.
So what tuning setup should I invest in?
-Hondata
-Cam Gears
-VAFC
-SAFC
-etc.
(or do I even need one?)
I don't know much about tuning and how it works but I'm assuming it could be done at the dyno for around $150?

you have done modifications that allow more air to flow through your motor, and also changed your cam. Tuneing should help out alot. on all motor cars a couple more hp and a couple less pounds go a long way. As far as what system you should get to tune with well I suggest finding a local reputable tuner and find out what they perfer to work with.

When I ran the 9.63, it was 2.27. When I ran the 9.88, it was 2.28. My personal best is a 2.25 which I ran a 9.68
