Im rebuilding my motor pretty soon. Im getting all the stuff I need for my rebuild. Im going to be using the motor for a little while before I get the turbo kit. My question is what type of pistons should I get that I would be able to drive around in, and what compression ratio would be best? I know most people recommend 9:1 for turbo, but I dont want to be driving around with those pistons and being very slow, until I get the actual turbo kit. So what do you guys recommend. Im not looking for big numbers, maybe somewhere around 250-300whp possibly alittle more.

 

well you wont be that bad with 9:1...if your gonna turbo just do the 9:1 and and finish tubrbo kit later..how many rpms. will you gsr take under boost...or rather how many rpm's will you take it too?...

 

i dont see what rpms have anything to do with it but this is my daily driver i not going to be beating on it i just dont want my car to be slow while im waiting on my turbo kit

 

the rpm question was just for my info...i was wondering how much gsr blocks can take is all under boost..
