crx transmission. dx, si, zc, etc...
Sooo...I've been looking everywhere for an si tranny for my 91 d15b vtec crx. All I can find are "jdm D15B" trannys on ebay. A few said they were cable, but i thought the jdm trannys were hydraulic. Is the gearing somewhat equivalent to the si trannys? Did they make a cable tranny for the D15B? If so, will my dx axles work? I also have an exedy clutch and a fidanza flywheel i'd like to use.
Better yet, if anyone's got a 89-91 si tranny for sale let me know! Thanks

I have a ZC transmission for sale.. I could throw it up on ebay for you, with axles and a half shaft. One axle does need a boot.
way better than the si in my opinion, Equal length axles, closer gear ratio.
I Also have an Si that needs a rebuild that i'll sell you cheap if you want to go that route. (synchros need replaced in it)
And finally, if you want to go cheap and dont want to rebuild I have a wonderful lil DX trans, too.

Well zc was the route i was going to take originally, but then someone told me i needed integra hub assemblys?? Is that true? Im not familiar with zc trannys. Is there anything else i'll need for the swap besides the axles you have? I have an exedy clutch & 90-91 fidanza flywheel. Are both compatible with a zc tranny? Thanks!

You only have to have the integra brake assemblies if you have an hf crx or std civic. Otherwise, your fine with dx or si brake assemblies. As well, the clutch and flywheel are compatible as long as the zc tranny you get is not from an '88 model. The splines are different from the '88 and the '89-'91. In addition, if you do decide to go with integra brakes anyways because they do have bigger rotors be sure you have 14" or bigger wheels.
