Default crap; belt size question

i need to change my alt and ac belts on my 99 jdm r. i went to the autoparts store and ordered the belts for a 00 us itr and they were way too big. after trying 3 other smaller sizes i had exhausted the store's stock and am just SOL. anyone out there have a brand and part # they know works with the jdm Rs?
thanks

No theyre different...the alternator belt is definitley different as i had this problem when i went to change mine...in the end up i ended up getting a UK ITR alternator (cheap) and swapping the whole thing.

I still have th Bando belts that were on mine so i'll see if theres part numbers on them and maybe you can get them through a Bando dealer in the US (if they have outlets there)

FYI -- the BANDO belts were sent with the AEM pulley sets, and were smaller than stock.

just measure the distance around the pully's with string, if it 32-1/2inches and 3 rib the part # (most aftermarket company's) would be 325k3 or if its 34inches and 4 rib its 340k4 -get it?

My car came with bando belts on everything, i'm just assuming theyre OE replacement belts that were fitted in japan by the last owner.

Bbasso...numerous JDM ITR owners here have had the same problem, but they managed to get belts that fitted, it was the pulleys that were different, the brackets are probably the same

I was thinking that the pulleys could be different But really could not see honda changing them for different countries, I guess they did. Now I wonder why?
