I put a remote starter in a 02 Durango and cannot find a strong enough signal for the tach wire. I have tried the coil, wrapping the tach wire around the #1 plug wire, etc but still no luck. The truck starts, runs for 3 seconds, and shuts back down. It does not have the immobilizer so that's not it. The tech guy at Accelle said I'm not getting a strong enough signal on the tach wire but had no ideas where to get a stronger one. I have also swapped the brain out to see if it was maybe bad. Can anybody help me or direct me to a website that can? Thanks

 

I believe clifford sells a module that will do this for you.

 

The Black/grey wire at the coil works. Did you tap it into the right wire?

 

The coil had 3 wires coming from it. They were all 3 together. solid black on each side with a blk/gry in the middle. I tapped into it but it didn't change anything.
