IDLE PROBLEM.. PLEASE HLP WITH SUGGESTIONS
I have a EDELBROCK MANIFOLD..STOCK GSR THROTTLE BODY .. I HJAVE A HIGH IDLE AT 1300 TO 1500 RPMS.. I 1ST UNPLUGED THE IACV . AND WHEN I DID THAT THE ENGINE WENT TO 900 RPMS AND CEL CAME ON...I PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND CEL WENT AWAY BUT IDLE WENT BACK UP... I THEN GOT CARB CLEANER AND SPRAYED AROUND THE THROTTLE BODY.... WHEN I DID THAT.. THE ENGINE STARTED TO DROPPED RPMS.. SO I CONTINUED IN THE ONE SPOT OF THE THROTTLE BODY AND THEN THE ENGINE STALLED... I TOOK OFF THE THROTTLE BODY AND THE GASKET LOOKED FINE...DO YOU THINK IT IS THE TROTTLE BODY GASKET?? IS MY IACV GOOD?... ANY SUGGESTIONS.. THANXS
IM glad you made this question dood.. cause im having the same problem with my Integra i have i fully stock ls vtec no internals .. im not really sure wats going on..before i got my oil changed it was fine. i was looking under the car when i got my oil changed and i saw my T to the oil line was broken got that fixed and wraped up and it started to idle from 1gr to about 2500 i didnt do all the things u did but im sure when i get the chance ima get some carb cleaner and clean around the intake mani and exhaust mani..the guy from inline4 told me to do that...(this is my first car and my first with ls vtec) i hope ur question gets answered by the Honda-tech guru's out there

replace your tb gasket with a new one then see what happens....if you search this topic theres a bunch of threads on it and many things it could be such as vacum leak, sensor plugged in wrong spots, coolant has air in it, and so on. Do the TB gasket first though

i had a similar problem, it was a vaccum leak for me
i had replaced the intake manifold, and there were a few places i took off the hoses and covered with a rubber cap, well the cap was fine for a while, then it got a small crack in it that got bigger and bigger.... hard to notice at first, but once i fixed it the idle went right down
make sure you check any and all lines even on the underside of the intake, and make sure the bolts on the TB are tight!

yea im pretty sure it mite be the throttle body gasket.. as i have a new one comming monday.. but keep posting if u had similar problems.. and what u did to fix it..

I FINALLY GOT MY THROTTLE BODY GASKET... AND IT FIXED THE PROBLEM....IT WAS THAT I HAD THE WRONG THROTTLE BODY GASKET ON.. I DONT KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED.... GUESS THE PERSON WHO BUILT MY MOTOR BUT ON THE WRONG ONE... OH WELL.. IDLE IS BACK TO NORMAL....NOW GOING TO GET RETUNED..
NOW WHEN I DRIVE THE ENGINE STALLS WHEN I PUT DA CAR IN NUETRAL... ANY SUGGESTION.. SHOULD I TRY AND ADJUST THE IDLE WITH THR IDLE SCREW.. COULD IT BE ANY OTHER PROBLEMS.. LET ME KNOW THANXS???
