1988 honda crx si

last night my car started throwing a really simple code, just:
-*-*-*-*-*-

my idle was higher this morning i start it, still throwing the code but check engine light isn't on anymore, so I pull the fuse reset the ecu... no code. no check engine. light. runs fine... just idles a little high.

then today driving to work I park and the idle just gets really weird bouncing between 500 1500 rpm...

any suggestions?

 

Do you know what code it was throwing.

The source of your idle problem could be the idle air control valve (iacv)

 

it was just steadily flashing on and off maybe every two seconds.
