Default My car drains my battery when it is turned off....

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I work on jeeps alot and use jeepforum.com usually. I recently purchased a honda and decided to join this forum.

Anyways, My honda accord dx 89' drains power from my battery while my car is off. I have checked all fuses inside the car, no problems, no lights are on. Then I checked the fuses in the engine compartment and found that most of the fuses 1-14 are all draining .5- 10 amps of power. There are a few not draining any thing, but only 1-3 fuses. It seems wierd to me that all these fuses are draining power, maybe this is a common problem, maybe not? If anyone can provide me with any info it would be very, very helpfull. I've been working on this for weeks, with no luck on it.

Thanks,
-Kyle

Yo I had a Nissan 200SX do that as well. It might just be your battery is shot. It may not be holding the charge properly.

Don't worry I know this is a Honda forum. I rock a '91, but this could be the problem.

I took the black box (integrated control unit) out , and the car now works fine, it hold a charge and everything. But I would like to know what it does? do i need it. Does it control the door latches on the side of the car? I do have another problem, I dont know if has to do with it but when i start the car up and press down on the brakes, my shifter(automatic) will not move. I dont think it has to do with the black box because I put it back in and it still didnt work.
It has a key lock feature where when the car is off you can put a key into a little insert and unlock the shifter column. But when the car is started and the brake is pressed on it should automatically enable the shifter column, right now the only way to use it is to start the car in neutral, not park, it keeps getting stuck in park no matter what I do.
