My shifter starting to feel weird. harder to put in gear and has a crunchy feel to it when it rains. Anyone ever have this issue and what was the cause thanks in advance.

 

i have had the same prob with my teg also in the rain. so has a lot of other people. i think it is just the bushings, etc. on the bottom side of the shifter getting saturated. dont worry about it!!! common problem

 

Do you have an aftermarket shifter?

 

i dont think it matters... i had a b&m in my old DA, did the same thing that it does now with my new DA with stock shifter...

 

same problem here, gotta fight the shifter around, and you never know where your at in the tranny, but it doesnt rain much where im at, so its all good.....

 

yea its an aftermarket shifter weird thing is that it just started happening not that long ago. You think I should get new bushings

 

I never had the problem with my stock shifter, but when I changed it out I started having trouble putting it into gear when it rained.

The water may be getting past the rubber and effecting the properties of the grease.
