i have a b16 with bolt ons and am going to be building an ls bottom end to run an LS/VTEC.. Currently i have a comptech 4-2-1 header with an apex world sport exhaust. the system is 2.25" from the header back. Would i see any gains from running a dc 4-1 with a 2.5" collector and a 2.5" exhaust?

 

Id prolly just get a new header with a 2.5 inch collector and a 2.5 in testpipe and keep ur same exhaust.You probably wont see much of a gain unless you put some cams in it.

wouldnt that be creating a bottle neck?? i plan to run itr cams in the future.

 

Yea it would but 2.25 is still big enough.If ur gonna get a good header with a 2.5 inch collector u might as well get a 2.5in exhaust if u have the money and feel like spending it.Its not gonna make a huge difference.the 2.5 will more than likely be way louder than ur ws
