Shaving Crank Pulley
My LS is at the machine shop being looked over before I put her back together and swap in the sedan.
I'm eliminating power steering and have already removed the AC (regretting that one kinda
)
So can I have the machinist cut off the ps and ac ribs on the crank pulley, leaving only the largest one for the alternator? As long as it's balanced will this cause me problems?
I'd also think it'd be nice to have that little extra room when dropping the engine in. Anyone already done this? Opinions?

A good machine shop should be able to balance it for you. Make sure the rubber part is still intact... if the outter part can move indepently from the inner, it can seperate, get out of balance, etc...
