Default Is this a good combination???

I have a b16a with password carbon fiber intake ITR header and apexi ws exhuast.

My third gear grinds like a bitch and now fourth is startin as well. Ive heard from a lot of people that honda trannys have this problem so im thinkin about replacing the tranny with an ITR transmission

The transmission is brand new and i can get it for 1800 shipped. Is this a good combination and a good price.

also instead of this should i save my money sell my motor and buy a k24

Great Tranny. You'll love it.

I have no objection to saving your beans for a K

You can confidently buy a used Type R transimssion for quite a bit less then that. The type r tranny's have the dual synchros, and have the type r shift lever. Assuming that they never put a "short shifter" onto that transmission, you can have confidence in buying a used type r tranny. Oh, and just cuz, a OEM type r shift lever is THE BEST lever that you can buy for a Honda transmission. Ditch your short shifter kids....

I would if i had the money to buy it, are we talking about a 4.7 FD right?

But a K does sound tempting, and those things make crazy power with some basic bolt-ons and a little tuning.
