Default Stiffer Chasis, Traction problems?

Hi,

i plan something big next time and i think i will run into huge traction and chasis stiffnes problems.

car is a 91' CRX EF8 and i plan to install a B18 Turbo engine in it with at least 400 WHP...

last week i tuned an integra type r (B18C6) to 400 HP and this car has huge traction problems in 1st and 2nd gear... so i won't imagine how this would be in my little crx ;-)

so maybe some guys here around have some tips what i can do to improve traction and get the chasis stiffer then it is stock.

Best with pictures to i can get an idea of what things look like...

Drag Slicks and race tires are not an option because the car would be my daily driver and has to be street legal.

a goot suspension kit is allready installed. Tire size is 215/40 R17 and it is the only size i'am allowed to drive... smaller ones are not possible at all because of the brake ;-)

Thanks for your help in advance...
Malte.

Turn down the boost

i think thats not an option ;-) for sure it would help but lower boost => lower HP so it not make very much sense... no the problem is this.. that the crx chasis is very weak from stock and i only want to improve it as much as possible so i can get the highest amount of boost possible... you understand? a gear dependent boost controller is allready buyed... but i want to max out my possibilities...

the suspension is a billstein custom damper with custom springs... very good for this car and the best i've ever driven in my life... so i think i don't want to find something better without spending a lots of money.

are there anything else i can do?

Thanks
Malte.

bolt 100 lb lead weights against the firewall in each wheel well. seriously though, the car is relatively light; at 400 whp, with street tires, you're going to have traction issues.

Exactly; that's the reality of it. It's a light FWD with a ton of horsepower, there's really no way to get rid of the traction problem.

hm, maybe you are right... but i had hope that there is something to make the situation a bit better.

But anyway thanks
Malte.

do a search on 'traction bars' there will be quite a bit of info on them. They should help, but your right foot is going to be the best traction control available.
