If I have 205-50-15's up front, and 195-55's in the back, will it look wierd?
On my 95 ls with 2000 gsr wheels. for some reason, the guy i got the gsr wheels from used 205-50's. the 2 back ones are very bald, and i need new ones asap. My friend has 2 195-55-15's he'll give me . will it be ok? and will it be notcisable? remember, they are both going on the back...
Well if its free go for it. You got nothing to lose.
I would put the 195-55-15's he'll give you on the front and the thicker ones in the back. Its a very minimal difference if you're not ****. But I would not put those on the back if I were you.

It'll look kind of autocross-y. It will definitely be noticeable to the eye. Also, assuming the rubber compounds are similar, you will add a little oversteer. So, I guess it could be beneficial for handling purposes.
It's perfectly fine. If I stick with the 15" for my Integra, that's what I'm gonna do, put 205/50R15 up front and 195/55R15 on the rear. In fact, my Prelude is running 225/45R16 up front and 205/50R16 on the rear. Great combo if you do auto-x.
The only drawback for me now is that I can't rotate the tires.

It will be okay for now, but you should get 4 matching tires and rotate them every 5K-6K miles, this will keep the tires lasting the longest, and keep wear even.
A lot of JDM guys do this. Look at the FF tuning video by Option. Lots of those guys are running 205/50/15 in front and 195/55/15 in the rear (road course) . If those guys are doing it then it must be good for something, right?

I run 215/50-15 in the front and 195/55-15 in the rear w/o any problems. Who gives a **** about the fashion police! Traction is SUPREME!!

I have done the same. 205 AVSi in front with stock 195 in back. The car rotates much easier. Great for autox.
Currently I have 205 Azenis in front and 205 712 in back. Similar effect. The Kumhos slide around turns. It really helps a front heavy, front wheel drive car without lsd to get around an autox track.
Also I like to buy 2 tires at a time. Easier on the pockets. Forget about rotating.

You would probably end up buying 4 tires, 2 at a time, in a shorter amount of time than if you rotated your tires and bought 4 at the same time.

Phew, 215s in the front... my 205s at full lock during autox rub.
fad? what fad? I did it because I had a set of soft tires and I wanted to get the widest tire possible on the front of the car. I guess I have the right combo of right height and wheel offset because I do not rub. Traction is delicious with the 215's!
