I have a b16a2 that i put into my 91 hach DX and it worked fine for a while but now it has trouble going into second gear and when you get on it sometimes it grinds gears. Any ideas on whats wrong?

 

My d-series tranny does that also...Thats the only gear on mine thats like that I would think its the syncro (or however you spell it) I just got a new tranny. I would imagine you could get it rebuilt for cheap though.

i know after i put my engine in, the tranny ran fine. then after a few months it started to grind when i got to high in the rpms, so i readjusted the clutch cable and it fixed it. if you installed a new clutch cable when u did the swap, it could have stretched.

 

try to change the tranny fluid

 

Yeah that would be the more easy thing to do first, before gettin trannys rebuilt or switchin for another.
