Default Dpfi to mpfi fuel efficiency change?

I poked around looking for this but I couldn't really find anything? How much does it affect it and how worth it is it on the old d15b? Thanks.

there is no reason to convert it over unless you are doing a swap. the d15 gets hella good gas milage as it is.

My mpfi d15b2 is getting ~34mpg all city driving. imo dont do the conversion unless you plan on forced induction or a swap in the near future.

Changing lanes is so annoying anyway.

There isn't a reason not to change to MPFI. DPFI are dogs and are dangerous on the highways. I used to get scared in my stock dx auto crx merging onto the expressway. Its definitely a great mod regardless.

If I get the HF I want I won't be doing much highway driving, I'm just gonna keep is slow and low, and soft on the gas.

well if you plan on getting an HF then its already MPFI with a smaller intake manifold then the Si, but you'll get amazing gas mileage like you want. Only the DX models came DPFI.

My 89 Si hatch got like 35mpg city on the stock motor... which isnt as good as an hf.. but it was fairly quick to have so many miles on it.
Tho i did shift at 3500 most of the time... tranny didnt like it any higher.. lol.

My record is 450 something miles on one tank in my DX sedan (around 38ish mpg, it's automatic) and I get a steady 34 mpg in my STD (manual). I'm going to swap the auto tranny in the DX for a manual HF tranny soon to try getting even better gas mileage.

I think every honda head should have a great gas mileage car alongside their performance vehicle.

I have never had a problem merging...I think that's all in the driver.

I shift at 2300 and sometimes at 2700 in my mom's camry, it likes it. And I cruise 35 mph in 5th gear too, haha.
