Hasport H22 CRX only ran a 14.1?
I read that article Ive been wanting to read in SCC and Hasports H22 CRX only pulled a 14.1 1/4!? Whats up with that! It did pull 1.03 G's though. So take that all who thought it wouldnt handle worth a ****!
Anyhoo, any thoughts as to why it ran so slow....?

did the h22 only have bolt-ons when it ran a 14.1 or was it stock?.....i cant even think of why it ran that in a crx......but at the track one night i watched a boosted lude run a 14.1.
an H22 mated to a close gear ratio of a B16 transmission will yield even lower times. There was someone back on the board who made transmission adapter plates.

I don't believe it. Those car mags are pretty gay.. maybe they made a typo or didn't get their **** straight.
I believe member 2point2 is in the 12s with his and some other canadian guy ran 12s too. Someone with an H22 CRX is bound to jump in here

With a 1/4 time like that they shouldn't have even posted it. If "regular" drivers with bigger cars with more stuff in it than they need can run those times w/ an H22, any professional driver should be running low to mid 13s no problem. I just hope they had a crappy engine or something. I just hope they were using the older 92-95 H22. Even so, a 20-30 hp and 30 lb/tq jump over the GSR should be yeilding better results.
Conclusion - 1 or more of the following:
Bad Driver
Bad Weather/Road Conditions (I highly doubt)
Bad Transmission
Bad Tires (I also highly doubt)
Also, does anyone have that magazine article? A scan would be
right now.

top of the hymlayers perhaps?
my new thought on the matter but 14.1 is a laughing stock.
SCC probly did that cause hondas arn't the fad but its cool to hate on them few years ago they'd write about low 12s bolt on b16s.

H series transmission gearing SUCKS
Which is why there is a H to B series transmission adapter kit. http://www.quartersportsdrag.com
They will be dragging their cars on the 30th and posting results on monday/tuesday after. From what i hear, there are quite a few H2B CRX's there, many of which are in the 12's.
