Default clutch question

i'm not really sure if my clutch is going out or not. it gave me one problem last year where i was turning a corner a bit fast and felt a pop in my clutch. next thing i know, i tried using the clutch to drop into second gear and i couldnt. had to take it to a honda mechanic and they fixed it, didnt have to replace the clutch though. all i know now is that the clutch point is really high. how do i know if its going out and if i have to get a new one. if i do, what kind should i get?

You will know when it is going out beause when the pedal is released and you floor it the engine will rev up before the car moves.

All the tech at honda did was adjust it.
