complete remanned unit setup with the proper firing order. It throws a wierd code that no one seems to be able to deduce, it is 17 short consecutive blinks, not one long and 7 short. Code 17 is the VSS (if indeed that really is code 17 that i am getting) but the speedo works fine, all grounds are good. Could it be the ignition switch?

that is code 17 I told you that on the other thread

Your getting that code when you start it? That one will not come one until your moving. I think you might have gotten it a long time ago and never cleared it. Reset your ecu and see if it still shows up.

it has been cleared numerous times still comes back, get it after driving around for a while, so how about the starting problem, ignition switch?

if it cranks no not the switch.

You need spark, timing, fuel and compression for it to run. Start testing all these out and post back what you have found.
