I know resleeving would solve the problem. Is it UNWISE to bore out a b18c1 to 2.0.

this is funny.

is it unwise to have more power?

sleeve your block. get new pistons. boom. you have 2.0L.

search the archives for more detailed info.

you can bore it...but you might not like the outcome without sleeving it. but hey, its your block and money, but i doubt you will find one person on this forum that will say its smart to do.

its my day off and did nothing but search and research...Seems like cylinerder wall braces are mainly for FI setups...

Is there actually enough pressuse in a NA 11.6:1 motor to NEED a cyliner brace. I look at ctr, itr, and theres no brace there.

You cant get a 84mm bore on stock sleeves, which is needed to get to 2.0. So with that in mind if you want a 2.0 buy a b20 or sleeve your block. End of story.

They're not worth **** and will actually impede coolant flow to the cylinder head. So once again, you want a 2.0 b-series buy a b20 or sleeve it.

They're called a BLOCK GUARD, and are useless in basically any setup. I made over 400 WHP on stock B16 sleeves with no guard.

there is no way that u can get a gsr block to sleeve to 84 mm anyways, you will be running the bores into each other.

Listen to what people are telling you. Boring out a GSR to a 2.0L is not an option. Get it out of your head. You have to resleeve your block.

Are you kidding me? You can up to 87mm bore on a B-series block. Very thin between the cylinders, but it is possible. 84mm is the standard on sleeve jobs for B-series.

hey man, SERIOUSLY u can do this.

i mean hell if it does blow, u at least already haev the 84mm pistons, and everything setup fo the bore.
just bore the stock ones out, and have the cash set aside to sleeve it, when it blows.
