a/c problem

Default a/c problem

my a/c has pretty much stopped working in my 91 crx dx, when i have it all the way up it barely blows at all, also it does this when i have the heater on, wondering if any of you guys could help me out, thanks advance.

Could be a few things, it might need a recharge though, or the orifice tube went bad.

All depends though, is it blowing out hot air, or is it blowing out cold air and its just weak ?

You mean the air that actually comes out of the vent is weak, whether its on cold or hot? Kinda sounds like the blower motor is on its way out.

sounds like it could be the blower motor 2 me my old crx was like that and I took it out and it was full of **** and I cleaned it out and it blew great

yeah it doesnt matter weather i have it on a/c or the heater the air is very weak, i thought it may have been the blower motor but idk, i figured id see what you all think

Does it blow slow in all speeds ? If so I would say its the motor.

ya it doesnt matter what speed it is set on, it just barly blows anything out

when you take your glovebox out and look at the top of your blower motor unit you should see a plug on top of it take that plug out and the two screws holding the resistor in..see if the resisitor is broken, if one of the coils is shot it will only blow at a certain speed if all is well then you know its def your blower motor that needs to be cleaned
