Cheap! D15 engine drivetrain swap, sohc with transmission
Located in SoCal, South Bay area, near Torrance, gotta get it out of my friend's garage!
D15 sohc motor out of an 89 civic DX. Needs a new home. has 203,000 miles on it, but still runs pretty darn good. Has new O2 sensor (passed CA smog with flying colors). Oil and filter were recently changed, and I believe the T-belt was changed last July before I got it, but you might want to check.
The motor had a pretty nasty oil leak before I got it, so there is a lot of gunk on it and the tranny, but should clean off fairly easily. I replaced the dizzy o-ring, a missing dizzy bolt, and resealed the valve cover gasket - it seems to have stopped about 95% of leak, but it still oozed just a bit at the last track day, but was never a problem (high rpms for extended periods of time). but overall, the motor runs great.
The transmission has a slight high rpm 3rd gear grind (only if you try to shift fast), but is fine otherwise, and never grinds during daily driving.
the VSS mounting tab is broken, and I cut off a section of wire that goes from the battery to the fuse box, so you will need to splice in a new wire for that.
