What's the widest wheel-tire combo that I can fit on my G3 Teg, without scraping anything? I want to get as much traction as possible, that's why I want to get wider wheels. What's the stock GSR size, anyways? 195/35/15?

i have been told that the lip on my OEM wheels will not allow any wider sizes by two different tire shops.

So maybe the answer to your question (in part) depends on the rims.

 

Yea...I'm gonna get rid of my stock rims. What is the widest size of wheels/tires I can get for about 16" - 17" size rims.

225/45 or 225/40 for 16x7 rims, I've seen either one on different Integras, no rubbing.

 

i roll on 205/50/15 toyos

 

I'm rollin on 215/40/16's with no probs at all

 

205/50/15 on stock 96 GSR rims....excellent size tire...A little wider would be nice for braking purposes, but otherwise, good performance and price

 

Stay with stock rims and just get 205/50's. They grip a bit better and have a wider contact patch that the stock size. They will fit fine fine and not rub at all.

 

I really want to get some aftermarket rims... Probably 16's not more. So in that case what is the widest, biggest and best I can get to get BEST traction and no rubbing of my sidewalls? 225/45/16 tires with 7.5/16 wheels? Thanks!

i agree, stay w/the stock rims n get 205's.. im on dunlop sp sport 8000 205 50 15 w/a 1.7inch drop and never scrape at all

 

id say a 7.5" wheel is the widest you get to fit with minor modifications.

 

For competition I use a 13x7.5 wrapped in 235/45/13 rubber with no rubbing.

For the street, 15x7 205/50/15 with rolled fender lips.
