Won't replace it in many ways...

1. Price
2. Weight
3. Suspension

But it may replace it in...

1. Power
2. Interior
3. Exterior

But it will NEVER be 2nd gen...and it better be a TWO SEATER!

I wish that honda would bring the identical chassis back from the dead that the crx is known for, styling and all. They should just take a 2g rex, and adapt it to work with the new kseries engines. Then all of us 4g guys could have an easy swap to the k20. You know that honda still has all the tooling to make the crx's too..it couldnt be that hard to bring back from the dead. Maybe im just dreaming here..

Look what they did to the "Si" Hatch
I doubt it'll be anything most of us want.

I think it will be a 2700lb civic liftback... not shorter, not lighter, not simpler.

I hope they will call it the Del Sol 2 when it comes to the states. I don't want to see a CRX badge on a Macpherson strut, 3000lb, Honda Civic.

The only thing I hope for is that Honda makes it look really good and keep the weight to 2300lbs. That means you can own a Kseries CRX that has an effective power to weight ratio like the 2g did or even better.

Otherwise, I take this as bad news for CRX fans. 2g CRX will still be the only modded one to roam the streets and the new CRX will probably get left alone like the Del Sol and Insight did.

p.s. All of those liars on Honda-Tech "The Insight was pretty much the next CRX. CRX is dead after the del sol." Pulling **** out of their asses.

Sigh...I know it's going to be ugly.
Fast with a K20 and whatnot, but when it comes down to it...It'll be butt ugly.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it any better
The 2nd Gen CRX will always be the top choice for me.

Just to be picky cause the Mustang is my #1 it never died...the GTO and Charger were both brought back from the dead. I also agree that they should leave the CRX nameplate to rest in piece.

I know where and what you were saying ILOVEMYEF8

I dont think that the mustang ever really died....But everyone has to admit the new version honors its tradition. But as for the CRX it was a great car that if you want to bring it back....bring it back resembling the old school version.

it needs to be more of a 2nd gen with a little more rounded lines... one peice head lights, two seats, 15 inch wheels, K24 power, and a new beautiful interior that is still retro-ish

Yea, I just told my wife on the phone that if it looks good, I'm getting it. She thought, wow, there bringing it back?

I love my 90 si and have owned it for 8 years now. To this date I have personally never owned a new car (my wife has had three) but if this one is looks good I will have TWO rexes. My wife says I can't park both in the garage so that would mean the new one stays outside and my un-biological baby stays inside like it is right now.
