Its a Honda...reliability is better then most.
But we're talking about a 15 year old car. Mileage and the previous owners diligence with the maintenance is going to be the deciding factor.

There's plenty of D16a8 and a9 owners over here: http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpbb2/index.php

the only Honda motor you can say ISNT reliable is the OLD prelude B20's and B21's....Those things blow up more than a fat lady eats fried chicken.

ZC's descent motors though....ANY motor is reliable though (not just Hondas) till you add in 1 of a million variables that can affect reliability...which Im not gonna post because thats somehting people need to learn on theyre own.

Unless its with N2o...Then you take a reliable motor and turn it to garbage with a quickness.
