can omni's be able to tuck 15in rims

does anyone have any pictures of it turned all the way down w/o the preload

 

yeah im tucking a little and i still have a little lower i can go

 

on 16's adn still have a lil to go too

the real q you should be asking is, can you slam it without removing any preload?

 

i still font see the point of the preload......but no u cant...

 

hows the ride without the preload

 

instructions are explicit that the shock and spring must have preload to work properly, they help and create the movement between lower spring perch and spring

saftey i have no clue about, but pre-load does ZERO for performance.

There have been a billion threads about this, pre-load does nothing for performance.

 

and whats the safety factor about it....when the cars down its still on the springs and compressed...

 

well, when you raise your car with lowering springs, the spring comes off the perch, if you set the car back down and it doesnt sit right, then bad things can happen.

ive seen a skunk2 coil sit crooked on a strut and cause damage. so, preload is good for that reason i suppose.

take the extra 2 seconds to make sure it sets right, if you have 1 brian cell its not hard

 

hell ya, it can lower bout 4"

you are right, its not hard, but it happens.

 

95sol are runnin street or sport
and does it make a diff on how low it goes if i get the sport or street

 

im runnin the sports.....dont know about ur 2nd question

when i put my S-T sway bars on with my old suspension it raised me up a lil bit so idk if i could go lower with the omnis now if i were to take them off...

 

The EF (88-91) DONT LOWER MORE THAN 2.5" !

 

yes you can tuck rim...i wouldnt recommend doing it but it is very possible

 

lowered the omnis a lil more...can still go another 1/2" in the rear..fronts done...
