Default Exhaust fitment after swap?

This is quite possibly a stupid question, but i've been saving for a swap, and before i go and spend my money, i want to make sure i have all the bases covered. Besides, we all had to start somewhere eh?
Ok so i've got a full exhaust (including headers) on my d series except for the cat. Obviously the headers will have to go, but will the b series header be able to bolt up to my cat without any kind of modifications or other odd fitment issues?

Also, i checked the link in the helpful FAQs archive, and it seems that a good bit of the links are either made up or dead. I've been looking at hmotorsonline and sohfast.com for the full changeover, but shopping around is always nice. What sites did you guys use? Keep in mind too that i'm in johnson city tn, so local pickup isnt much of an option...i'd pretty much drive to asheville nc/gatlinburg tn or perhaps charlotte nc (but not knoxville...hate that place) for pickup, but as i said i'd still like to shop around.

Been looking at the HT classifieds, but considering it's taken a while with my budget to save up this money, i'm really scared of getting a motor from a private source, unless i can be 100% sure that i'm not gonna get fucked. Thanks in advance for any help

I asked this exact same question about 3 or 4 days ago. I was told that the ex mani is a little too long to bolt up directly to the cat. This is for an LS into an EG. Some people recommend cutting a piece out of the header, but I'm sure I've seen a company that sells custom length cats. (Catco I believe.) I'll be looking for one of those once I figure out the length I need.
.
As for where to buy motors, a lot of people here have had really good results with hmotorsonline.com. I have not personally dealt with any business, motor-wise, so I only know what I've heard. I was lucky enough to buy the teg for my swap from a friend. He sold it to me for dirt cheap cuz the frame needed too much work to be worth using. (Although the engine has low miles and runs incredibly strong for it's age!)

Meh, that sucks...i suppose it'll be alright though since it seems like the cat is the last restriction in my exhaust.

Man you're lucky...hard to find people who conveniently are getting rid of their motor when you're wanting to swap one in, all the way out here in BFE. I've heard good things about hmotorsonline as well...they just seem a tad pricey. I suppose i cant have the low cost of a private trade with the security of an "established" company.

Perhaps it's time for me to scavenge the salvage yards :\ Course i'm not sure which would be worse in that situation...trusting shady salvage yard people or trusting people on the opposite side of the country online. Thanks for the info though
