Default Repair Order on SMS Exhaust... Need help

Ok so a cop with the whole typical I'm an *** personality pulled me over tonight and gave me a repair order on my exhaust saying its too loud. I need to get it signed in 10 days and take it to the station within 30.

I do NOT need to take my car there as you all probably know.

But I will be dam if I am taking my SMS exhaust off especially after the car has been so modified and tuned with hondata for it... I know some mechanics at Performance shops that may sign it for me but besides that I might be screwed? What can I do? Does anyone have any experience or advice to offer?

Thanks again guys

How loud is too loud?
What's the appropriate statute/law say?

try to make your stock rear section fit your b pipe to pass the "loud" test or whatever.

header wont make too much of differance in loudness

yea well no one will sign it without a cat, and I bought the caR with the sms exhaust already on it soo I don't have anything else to do.

I really just need to borrow a 16 carsound cat for like 1 hour just to pass the exhaust inspection.

ok well I found out that its either 18" or 17 and 3/4 about with JDM header. I could prolly make it fit..... but I have a 2.5" sms exhaust... so wouldn't that not bolt up at all?

Dunno never measured mine. I think I also have the stock exhaust from my old GS-R laying around somewhere. If you can make it fit let me know.

where bouts do you live? I am not 100% sure that a GSR will bolt up to my JDM 4-1 header and fit the rest of the way on the ITR.

Can anyone clarify whether or not this will work or can anyone else help me out with a cat?

Sounds like you need it for more than just "1 hour" unless you want someone to stand there and bolt it up for you, and then take it off the car after the inspection as well.

Yes, I'm just playing with you, because ... you're not really making it worthwhile for anyone to help you out. That, and the fact that you didn't think of this problem beforehand.

what are you talking about worth while for anyone to help me out? And actually if you read the other thread you would know that I took care of the problem except for the small fact that my family threw away my carsound cat which i needed to put back on my exhaust to pass the inspection and get the form signed.

So if anyone has any worthwhile information to offer I would greatly appreciate it.

Ummm, well apparently you haven't taken care of the problem.

And although I can sympathize with you, having lost some valuable car parts in a similar fashion in the past, where does that leave you NOW?

LOL! Sign it yourself with some fake info for a shop (or use a real shop's info). Think they'll really check?
