will 88-91 ground control coilovers work on a 92-95 hatch?
88-91 ground controls dont come with the urethane hat for the front which is required for the 92-up models... also, the front springs are too short and might be more prone to coil bind than the springs that are supposed to come with the kit.
i believe the 88-91 kit also comes with 8" front a nd 7" rear springs. so coil bind is not an issue.
i forget which pair of springs it was for, front or back, but my kit for a crx came with an extra pair of poly top hat bumper.
can you explain why its specifically needed in the front of a 92+ civic? its been a while since i installed my GC kit.

I know this post is a month old but ill give my input anyhow. (If anyone wants to know in the future)
I have installed and i'm currently using the 88-91 GC kit on my 92 Civic and they're fine. Tyson is right about the spring lengths, which don't effect anything on the 92-95 Civic chassis. NO coil bind of any type and the poly top hat is NOT needed to function.
The only thing I ran into when installing the front threaded GC sleeves is that since the 92' Civic uses a thicker strut...O-rings that are supplied in the kit are not needed to fit the threaded sleeve on the strut. You would just use the Poly sleeve they give you alone...opposed to using the poly sleeve AND o-rings to hold the threaded sleeve in place. The rears are the same as the 88-91 Civic though.
